Position Overview

Subject matter expert for cybersecurity matters to internal staff across our corporate and field office locations as well as our remote staff. Be the primary point of contact for cybersecurity related events, policies, procedures, and response. The ideal candidate would have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people. In addition to daily cybersecurity responsibilities, the candidate would help implement forward thinking ideas to improve technology services, systems and oversee special projects as it relates to cybersecurity. This position reports directly to the CTO.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for end-user computing issues as it relates to cybersecurity
  • Act as initial point of contact for cybersecurity events that occur internally and with third parties that possess sensitive / confidential company data using established policies.
  • Facilitate cybersecurity incident communications in accordance with internal cybersecurity incident response guidelines, where and when security incidents occur
  • Regularly review cybersecurity policies and monitor for new regulatory requirements as it relates to cybersecurity.
  • Participate in yearly cybersecurity risk assessments, tabletop exercises, and other diligence events
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and support privilege access management and modern authentication initiatives and solutions
  • Maintains an up-to-date understanding of emerging cybersecurity threats facing financial institutions.
  • Act as point of contact for managing and delivering various vulnerability and remediation reports
  • Responsible for performing third-party risk assessments for potential vendor / servicer engagements in accordance with Rockpoint’s established policy and standards
  • Stay current with cybersecurity best practices and industry trends, and apply knowledge to policy improvements and compliance actions
  • Manages enterprise-class mobile device management solutions for iOS and other devices, where applicable.
  • Help to administer, assign, and respond to tech support issues as part of the tech support team as needed

Required Skills

  • Knowledge and track record of understanding and managing cybersecurity related events
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard industry practices as it relates to cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • Skills in troubleshooting and diagnosing advanced computer, connectivity, and network problems in a complex multi-platform environment
  • Self-motivating, able to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn and continuously pursue new skills and education
  • Skills in responding to issues within a Microsoft directory services infrastructure
  • Ability to plan and implement new ideas around the technology support and cybersecurity function
  • Ability to work within a team and provide proactive feedback for improving processes across the technology functions
