We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a growing financial services company. This is an on site position. Candidate must be able to work in the office full time - 5 days a week.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and manage the general ledger, including the reconciliation of accounts and resolution of discrepancies.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting tasks.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including regulatory reporting and internal controls
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing analysis and recommendations to support strategic planning.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any inquiries or findings.
• Perform financial analysis to support decision-making processes, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Perform other accounting and financial tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA designation required.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with insurance-specific accounting practices is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to various stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality in handling financial information.
