The ability to read and understand written instructions. Troubleshooting expert. Basic Physical Requirements: Must be capable of performing the following with effective results and without personal injury: The ability to withstand high temperatures for longer periods of time. The ability to lift 60 pounds. The ability to lift up to 120 pounds with another person. The ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height. The ability to sweep. The ability to use sharp objects in a safe manner. What you will be doing: Bring pallets in from outside and place them neatly, and with the allowed quantity, within the lines of the designated pallet storage areas for use on the line. Organize any pallets that are placed outside of the designated pallet storage area and place them neatly within the lines of this area. Remove all broken pallets from production areas and place them outside in the designated areas. Keep the production line supplied with the proper pallet sizes and amounts based on production needs. Get raw materials, such as foil, labels and strapping from the foil racks using the FIFO system. Return excess raw materials, such as foil and strapping to the foil racks and ensure the FIFO system is maintained. Clean up in the foil storage area and around the pallet de-stacker, preferably at the end of the shift but at least once per shift. Remove loose wool from behind the Pendulum area when the line starts or stop and remove wool that is swept up by the K2 operators. Assist with clearing jam ups on the line. Remove damaged product from the production area and assist with granulating if there is room in the silos. Assist Hooder/Robot operators with turning partial pallets in to complete pallets. Remove any remaining half pallets and treat as damaged product. Assist with rework of pallets that need rework or re-hooding. Remove pallets of product off the line in case of issues with the hooder or other equipment in that are potentially holding up the line. Change out forklift propane tank if needed.
