PositionWe are currently seeking a skilled Accessioner to join our team. As an Accessioner, you will be a vital contributor to our laboratory operations, responsible for efficiently and accurately processing and documenting specimens. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and excellent teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Enter patient and specimen information accurately into the laboratory information system (LIS)
- Answering incoming phone calls professionally
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Follow established protocols and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
- Adhere to quality control and quality assurance guidelines
- Meet productivity targets and turnaround time expectations
- Verify and label specimens with appropriate identifiers
- Ensure proper handling and storage of specimens
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer proficiency
- Previous experience in data entry is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and protocols effectively
- Reliable and punctual with a substantial work ethic
- Adaptability in an ever-changing and growing start-up environment
- A. Tuesday to Saturday 0000 to 0830
- B. Tuesday to Saturday 1500 to 2230

- Full-Time
- Starting pay range $17.75 to 19.50 per hour

Please note: Effective March 2024, all newly hired employees will undergo a background check as part of the onboarding process. The outcome of the background check will determine continued employment. The background check procedure is facilitated through the Checkr integration with Gusto during the onboarding process.
