Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team, responsible for all product costing, inventory, and fixed asset activities. This full-time, exempt position reports directly to our Controller and plays a crucial role in our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive financial analysis and forecast modeling.
• Assist in preparing financial plans and budgets.
• Analyze, interpret, and communicate cost variances to management.
• Implement and manage a cycle count program as an alternative to annual physical inventory.
• Lead accounting processes for inventory, COGS reporting, and internal control management.
• Support costing initiatives related to new product development, customer quotes, audits, and work order costing.
• Analyze profitability by part number and platform weekly to identify opportunities for performance improvements or price adjustments.
• Support the annual review and development of standard overhead rates.
• Monitor and report gross margins on all jobs.
• Assist operations and engineering with cycle times and routing standards analysis and maintenance.
• Review operating expenses and evaluate cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly percentage of completion accounting schedules.
• Develop and monitor company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify and solve problems creatively; interact effectively with all levels of management and employees.
• Review, analyze, and report on inventory reserves.
• Calculate and communicate manufacturing variances.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasting processes.
• Assist with annual external financial statement audits.
• Maintain fixed asset records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA/CMA preferred.
• Proven experience in percentage of completion accounting.
• 7 years of cost/inventory experience.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally at all levels.
