POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Attendance Improvement Specialist or Social Worker
READY (Regional Education Alternative for Developing Youth) Program
Qualifications: Extensive knowledge in working with students and school administrators and understanding the dynamics of programs that allow students to succeed in a K-12 educational settings.
Working knowledge of understanding human behavior and trauma informed practices.
Ability to work with families, community agencies and school districts to positively impact student attendance.
Strong verbal/written communicator with ability to convey complex messages across all levels of an organization through a variety of content formats.
In-depth knowledge of school social work, both individual and group settings.
Excellent leadership skills.
State licensure as a counselor, therapist, social worker and a minimum of two years working with K-12 students.
Ability to teach knowledge to teach middle school and high school students.
Other qualifications as deemed necessary by the Regional Superintendent.
Any of the above qualifications may be waived by the Regional Superintendent.
Job Goals and Responsibilities: Work with parents and students to increase student attendance.
Provide social work services to students (group and individual)
Work collaboratively with administrative team to carry out the duties of the job and a willingness to teach students in a nontraditional format.

Competitive salary and benefits package
Salary Range is $42,000 - $50,000 depending on education/experience
