RoleReviews, analyzes, and evaluates user system needs to create systematic solutions that support the overall business strategies of Mortgage Services. Serves as the liaison between Information Services (IS) and Mortgage Services on systematic process improvement. Focuses on opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize the member experience. Demonstrates a fundamental understanding of systems and the overall operation of Mortgage Services. Develops meaningful and usable assessments to make recommendations consistent with the credit union's Mission, Vision, Loyalty Filter, Guiding Values, and Service Promises to aid in creating value for the member.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities30% Analyzes procedures and tools in collaboration with the Mortgage Operations Manager and other department heads to gain efficiency and improve the member mortgage experience. Creates and tests systematic solutions. Documents, communicates, and trains staff on improvements.
30% Revolves Loan Origination System (LOS) system support issues to ensure daily operation of the LOS and related software result in a positive experience for the Mortgage Delivery and Support team. Manages and responds to team member maintenance requests in a timely manner. Ensures the credit union is maximizing technology and operating efficiencies to offer member focused solutions.
15% Provides recommendations to management of how data analytics can be utilized by staff to deliver an exceptional experience and deepen member participation. Develops and implements consistent activity reports for all phases of mortgage lending operations.
10% Keeps current on applicable lending software and systems, regulations, credit union Policies, operational controls, consumer lending-related compliance, safety measures, service, and security procedures to ensure compliances throughout associated areas of the credit union.
10% Provides training and ongoing support to system users.
5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned; including enhancing the reporting and monitoring systems for the department to keep the leadership team informed regarding overall performance and progress towards goals. Maintains high ratings on delivery team satisfaction performance surveys, and handles special projects as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills Experience : Five years to seven years of similar or related experience.
Education : Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
Interpersonal Skills : Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Other Skills : Excellent PC (technology), compliance, written and verbal communication skills. Some exposure to Visual Basic and Data Base applications. Excellent organization and time management skills. Self-starter, able to take on larger tasks and break them down into manageable units. Strategic, critical thinking skills. Ability to motivate or influence others using diplomacy. Ability to communicate technical and detailed financial information to non-technical and financially minded people. Ability to build and maintain confidentiality. Team player and dependable.
Physical Requirements : Some adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers while using computer. Communicating with others to exchange information. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discernments in sound. Close and continuous visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
Work Environment : Normal workday with occasional overtime. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery.
