Dynamic, rapidly growing, customer focused privately held railing and structural steel fabrication company needs your construction and hands-on expertise to contribute to the strategic development of this organization. You will work with some of the brightest individuals in the industry.

Under general supervision of the Operations Manager, Foreman will lead crews to perform fabrication of carbon and stainless steel and aluminum structures and products in the fabrication industry. Build, train, supervise and mentor front line fabrication employees to engage them in a fast paced, productive, and fun work environment. Foreman will be proactive to oversee an overall cohesive team of cross trained employees able to apply their skills as necessary to perform quality work on time and at or under budget. Foreman will have a complete understanding of the requirements to manage a fabrication crew in the Steel fabrication industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Minimum 5 years of Fabrication Industry experience.

· Lead by example to create a calm, industrious and controlled work site.

· Create a site culture of continuous improvement by teaching and training all members of the crew.

· Supervise employees to keep the production running smoothly.

· Maintain flexibility to switch gears and assist crew members as needed.

· Maintain good working relationship with all company employees.

· Responsible for jobs being completed correctly, on time and at or below budget.

· Operate non CDL trucks.

· Keep track of crew job hours and worked performed by crew members for jobs.

· Review schedule, technical provisions, terms and conditions and contract drawings for fabrication.

· Ensure projects are built according to drawings and specs.

· Communicate regular updates with Operations Manager and address change orders or unforeseen conditions.

· Propose value engineering ideas/value enhancement additions to the Operations Manager.

· Perform corrective action plans to remedy any unsafe conditions in work area and train crew to proactively respond as necessary.

· Mentor who communicates explicitly and specifically with proper frankness, but always with sincerity and consideration.

· Leader whose self-control is equal to all emergencies.

Safety and Requirements

· Keep all job sites clean and in order.

· Train/verify all employees operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.

· Perform daily Job Safety Analysis and communicate the safety requirements to the crew and appropriate subcontractors.

o Hold weekly Tool-box safety meeting with the crew.

· Valid State issued driver’s license and use of vehicle to arrive at office.

· Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.

· Climb ladders of varying heights.

· Lift moderate to heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
