Front Desk – Dental Office administrator

The practice is dedicated to upholding the highest standards in dental care, and we offer a number of procedures including teeth cleanings, same-day dental crowns, porcelain veneers, INVISALIGN, dental implants, dental bridges, All-on-6 dental implants, and help for patients experiencing Sleep and TMJ issues.

We are a progressive family dental practice looking for a full-time candidate with dental management experience. We pride ourselves on providing quality dental healthcare to families throughout Wayland, NY, and the surrounding areas.

We are a multi-doctor practice that requires someone who is/has:

Under direct and indirect supervision, the Front Desk Administrator will answer inquiries and obtain information for the general public, patients, visitors, and other interested parties, provide information to callers, and perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

· Manage productive schedule both on the Dentist/RDH side in keeping with the office protocols.

· Fill openings in the schedule if necessary and Follow-up on unscheduled treatment.

  • Operate multiple line telephone to schedule appointments, provide appropriate information, screen and/or forward calls to appropriate personnel, take messages.
  • Collect, sort, distribute, and prepare mail, messages, and courier deliveries.
  • Greet patients and callers, handle their inquiries, or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
  • Efficiently and accurately move through the patient workflow process in practice management software.
  • Treatment presentation including 3rd party financing
  • Review and process insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner and process outstanding insurance claims.

· AR management including 3rd party collection

· EOD procedures- balance the day, remit reports to applicable parties

  • Retrieve and post paper and electronic insurance payments and adjustments accurately.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
  • Memorize and deliver scripts effectively both over the phone and in person.
  • File and maintain electronic records.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
