Growing multi-site church in the heart of Nashville looking for an energetic growth-focused leader to serve in the part-time role of Kids Director. As the Kids Director, this person will serve alongside our pastoral staff and family ministry team to execute preschool and elementary school ministry programs and initiatives at the Nashville Campus. Candidates must be annoyingly organized, wildly creative, team oriented, and intentionally evangelistic. Being a Nashville Predators fan is a plus. Definitely not required.

OBJECTIVE

The Kids Director is responsible for the development and implementation of the vision, strategy, and tactical elements for all programs, activities, and educational aspects related to the Children's Ministry at Rolling Hills Community Church, Nashville West Campus.

EXPECTATIONS

- Live an exemplary life modeling the call, character, and competencies of a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

- Be a servant leader to his or her staff and teams of volunteers, the families and the overall church body.

- Grow personally in their own leadership and ministerial abilities by reading, attending conferences and having godly and professional mentors in his/her life.

- Be an excited and contributing member of the RHCC staff team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee all programming and ministry for children from birth to fifth grade for Sunday mornings.

- Ensure that appropriate safety and security procedures are established and followed, including volunteer applications and interviews, criminal background checks on all volunteers, and regular training on abuse awareness, hygiene practices, and safety and security practices.

- Operate within the approved Nashville West Kid’s Ministry budget[s].

- Recruit, train, schedule, and lead kids’ ministry volunteers to plan and implement Sunday morning programming through Planning Center Online. 

- Prepare curriculum for programming in keeping with the Rolling Hills Kids Ministry Strategy and curriculum licensing.

- Strategize creative ways and ongoing systems for the Nashville West Campus to intentionally reach unchurched kids and families in the surrounding neighborhoods and greater West Nashville area via summer programming, and other special events.

- Coordinate childcare for special scheduled events.

- Attend and participate in regular Kids Ministry Team and Nashville West Campus team meetings.

- Implement mile marker strategy for kids and families to experience Family Dedication and Baptism and Belief classes at the Nashville West Campus.

- Work with the Kids Ministry Team in planning and implementing community outreach events, including but not limited to VBS and other seasonal outreach opportunities. 

- Involve children and their families in local and national mission’s projects.

- Minister to children and their families, caring for them personally and spiritually.

- Work within the framework of the RH Communication Team to promote all campus-specific events, maintain regular campus-communication outlets, and update the Nashville Campus web page and social media outlets.

- Attend and participate in monthly all-staff meetings.
