Work Location: Hybrid. Candidates are required to work onsite at NAS Patuxent River, MD 1-2 days per month and must reside within 90 miles of Patuxent River, MD.Active Secret Security Clearance is preferred to start this position.

Join our team as we support a government contract for the Naval Air Systems Command! 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a senior full-stack developer with a strong focus on React, as well as familiarity with the AWS cloud platform and an understanding of related services. The candidate will play a pivotal role in developing new and migrating legacy applications to modern web-based frameworks while ensuring seamless functionality and data integrity.

Essential Functions:

• Use modern tech stack (React, Python) to develop software applications/systems.
• Package subsets of data into microservices to implement API management tools for transferring data.
• Develop new and/or modernize legacy applications in an AWS cloud environment.
• Utilize GitLab to maintain source control and to deploy code through a CI/CD pipeline.
• Work with applications and data in a containerized environment.
• Design, develop, and deploy relational and multidimensional databases.
• Perform unit testing using Python and/or React.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

• Experience developing web applications utilizing full-stack technologies required.
• Strong proficiency in React framework and libraries required.
• SQL database development experience required.
• AWS Native Services, OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes, and/or Microservice experience required.
• Working knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experience highly desired.
• Agile software development experience highly desired.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 10 years related experience.

Security Clearance:

• Must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance; active or interim secret is preferred.
