Job Title: Soccer Assistant Coach at Rondo FC

Location: Middletown NJ / Monmouth County NJ

We are based in Middletown NJ / Monmouth County and our goal is to give all players, regardless of their footballing journey, a place to reach their full potential and enjoy the beautiful game.

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Soccer Assistant Coach to join our Men's Team coaching staff here at Rondo FC for our upcoming 2024/25 GSSL season. The ideal candidate will assist the head coach in all aspects of team management, training sessions, game preparation, and player development. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in soccer coaching who is eager to contribute to the growth and success of our program and their own.

Schedule:

  • 2 - Hour Training Sessions: Tuesday & Friday Nights
  • 3- Hour Game Day: Sundays Times Vary (If Needed)
  • 2 Training Sessions and 1 Game Per Week

Pay:

  • Contract / Part-Time
  • $34 - $51 Per Session

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the head coach in planning and/or conducting training sessions focused on skill development, tactics, and team cohesion.
  • Support the head coach in administrative tasks such as organizing team travel, scheduling, and communication with players and/or parents.
  • Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players to help them improve their skills and performance.
  • Assist in game day preparation, including but not limited to developing game strategies, and making tactical adjustments during matches.
  • Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to player development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
  • Serve as a role model for players, promoting integrity, respect, and dedication both on and off the field.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience playing and/or coaching soccer at the high school, club, or collegiate level in NJ.
  • Coaching certifications/licenses such as "US Soccer Grassroots License" preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of soccer tactics, strategies, and training methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and inspire players.
  • A commitment to player development and a desire to help each athlete reach their full potential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training sessions and games.
