Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining buildings and grounds of the Roppe Holding Company facilities while working closely with the Miller family in an ethical, honest, and transparent manner. This position will be tasked with a variety of different projects and responsibilities, with the overall goal to maintain and upkeep the specified locations. General upkeep on the specified facilities can include landscaping, general construction, electrical work/plumbing work, setting up events, and supporting the company as need be.
Responsibilities:

• Maintaining specific buildings and grounds as need be.
• Oversee the property maintenance crew.
• Removing snow and salting each location's walk ways and roads.
• Landscaping.
  
  • Including but not limited to lawn mowing, planting flowers, weed removing, spraying insect and weed repellant, and tree/bush removal.
• Remodel the facilities and provide assistance to any construction projects.
• Basic maintenance on the facility and the equipment.
  
  • Including but not limited to tractors, lawnmowers, company vehicles etc.
• Preform general maintenance as required.
• Paint different areas as needed.
• Completing special projects according to company need.
• Decorating properties during holidays or different special occasions as necessary.
• Communicate with the Millers and supervisors in regards to the status of different projects, potential issues, and continuous improvement processes.
• Provide transportation for Miller's as necessary.
• Maintaining expenses
• Run errands as assigned.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to receive CDL.
• Ability to learn/use a variety of company tools/equipment such as trucks, snow blowers, ploughs tractors, sprayer, basic hand tools, chainsaws, shovels, rakes, clippers, hedge trimmers, weed eaters.
• Ability to be money conscious and find appropriate prices/deals for different projects.
• Physical conditions can include moderate to semi-intense labor
  
  • Including but not limited to hand/arm manipulation, kneeling, carrying, touching/feeling, walking, and standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perceive depth.
• Ability to learn/use a variety of company tools/equipment such as trucks, snow blowers, ploughs tractors, sprayer, basic hand tools, chainsaws, shovels, rakes, clippers, hedge trimmers, weed eaters.
• Ability to work inside and outside in a variety of weather conditions.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of residential property maintenance required.
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques preferred.
• Knowledge of Masonry techniques preferred.
• Knowledge of Carpentry techniques preferred.
• Basic Knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical work preferred.
