Job Description
***Only qualified Mechanical Engineer candidates located in the Fort Worth, TX area will be considered due to the position requiring a 100% onsite presence***
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s (BS) in Mechanical Engineering 5 years’ experience
• Master’s (MS) in Mechanical Engineering 3 years’ experience
• At least 1 - 2 years' experience in the medical device industry preferred (Class II/III preferred)
• Proficient in Creo/SolidWorks/other CAD packages (Creo proficiency preferred)
• Experience with injection molded component design and machined component design
• Experience with fixture/test systems design, test method development, test method validation for design verification testing
• Experience with the design of small assemblies and tolerance analysis is a plus
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
• Designs components, or portions of a functional system, prototype, or specific products for medical device/science/technology
• Applies intermediate-level principles of engineering analysis, blending technical knowledge and manufacturing practices in providing solutions to problems arising within the department about the assigned projects
• Writes test protocols and executes prototype test execution for components and devices
• Creates and manages the generation of detailed product drawings
• Design test fixtures/systems, author protocols, and execute Gauge R&Rs/validation for design verification testing
