Rosen Hotels & Resorts is Hiring a Risk Management Coordinator - On Site Near Orlando, FL

Summary:

The Safety Coordinator assists with a wide range of routine assignments in specialty areas in Risk Management. The nature of work involves contract review and interpretation, negotiation with other parties, management of insurance contracts and insurance certificate management, contract/technical writing with a focus on indemnification, hold harmless, liability, etc., and other Risk Management duties. Assist leadership in the planning, development, and execution of strategies for a comprehensive risk management program. Support the Director of Safety and Risk Management to drive strategies, activities, and decision-making processes. Assist the Risk Management and Safety team in accomplishing tasks and duties in areas such as Business Continuity, etc. Be self-driven and consistently exhibit a positive attitude, commitment to the team and company, and the Pillars of our Strength.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate 3rd parties’ insurance coverage and recommend adjustments to requirements as needed
  • Assist in the audit/review of incident reports and various other loss reports.
  • Assists in loss investigations by collecting and reviewing certificates of insurance, and agreements/contracts.
  • Attend meetings to discuss/provide training on Certificate of Insurance processes, contract language persons to Risk Management, etc.
  • Conduct compliance audits.
  • Collect data, analyze data, and create reports, recommendations, and communications.
  • Produce and maintain reports measuring/tracking vendor insurance and contracts, etc.
  • Develop and maintain tools for internal and external customers for efficient and effective risk management processes.
  • Assess coverages of various types of insurance coverages including but not limited to Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Property Damage, and other applicable insurance policies.
  • Work with teams such as Sales and Convention Services ref contracts and insurance for hotel clients, and departments such as Procurement, Engineering, etc. for vendor contracts and insurance.
  • Work with Engineering & Facilities to ensure proper risk management measures in construction contracts and insurance.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Drive between Rosen properties as needed

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience is required.
  • Good knowledge of contract review and interpretation.
  • Good knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
  • Good knowledge of various types of insurance coverage including but not limited to Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Property Damage, and other applicable insurance policies.
  • Experience in these areas in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Experience in technical/program writing, and program auditing required.
  • Experience in research and analysis practices.
