Rosies Recovery Center is Hiring a Mental Health Therapist Near Parkville, MD

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide professional counseling and therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. By applying evidence-based approaches, you will support clients in understanding their emotions, developing coping strategies, and fostering positive change in their lives. Your expertise and commitment to client well-being will play a crucial role in promoting mental health and empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

Fee - For- Service

$500 sign-on bonus after 30 days

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments: Perform thorough assessments to gather relevant information about clients' mental health concerns, personal history, and treatment goals. Formulate accurate diagnoses based on the assessment findings.
  2. Provide individual therapy: Offer individual counseling and therapy sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other appropriate approaches. Assist clients in exploring their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and guide them in developing healthier coping mechanisms and strategies.
  3. Facilitate group therapy: Lead therapeutic group sessions to create a supportive and nurturing environment for clients to share their experiences, learn from one another, and develop interpersonal skills. Design and implement group therapy activities that promote personal growth and mutual support.
  4. Develop treatment plans: Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that outline specific goals, interventions, and expected outcomes. Regularly review and update treatment plans to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
  5. Crisis intervention and risk assessment: Provide immediate crisis intervention support to clients experiencing acute mental health crises. Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures to ensure the well-being of clients.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation: Keep detailed and confidential records of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant communications in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other professionals to coordinate and integrate care for clients. Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and collaborative treatment planning to ensure holistic and comprehensive care.
  8. Stay informed about best practices: Engage in continuous professional development activities to remain updated on the latest research, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based interventions in the field of mental health.
  9. Adhere to ethical standards: Conduct all professional activities in accordance with relevant ethical codes and guidelines, ensuring client confidentiality, informed consent, and professional boundaries.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Licensure or certification as a mental health therapist (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, etc.), as required by state regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing therapy and counseling services to individuals with diverse mental health concerns.
    - Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a client-centered approach to therapy.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines governing mental health practice.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
