Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Department Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in retail management and possess strong organizational skills.
Duties:
- Assist in managing department operations, including inventory, stock levels, and pricing strategies
- Support sales management by ensuring product availability and maintaining attractive displays
- Coordinate with store management to optimize department performance
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and make informed decisions
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and maintain stock levels
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a grocery store setting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse customers and suppliers
- Knowledge of sales management principles and practices
- Familiarity with stock management procedures and inventory control
- Proficiency in retail math for pricing and margin calculations
