Rothman Institute is Hiring a Budget Specialist Near Philadelphia, PA

Rothman Ortho is looking to hire a full time Budget Specialist based in our Center City Philadelphia office! This is a hybrid position that requires onsite work every Tuesday through Thursday.

Job Summary:

The Budget Specialist will oversee the budget of all areas of the organization.

Key Accountabilities:

Timely and accurate completion of annual budgeting process and associated timelines. Use data to improve efficiencies, decrease expenses and identify financial and operational deficiencies. Suggest solutions for improvement.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for the preparation of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning to support meeting the organization's business objectives
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to glean insight for department or region specific nuances and collaborate to finalize targets
  • Perform budget variance analysis, identify key areas of improvement, communicate drivers of delta between actuals and forecast
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations as needed for executive management
  • Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting to complete relevant deliverables in a timely manner
  • Performs other related duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Accounting/Finance required, masters degree preferred.
  • CPA preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of direct budgeting experience at a healthcare organization required
  • Corporate budgeting experience at a multi-state physicians practice preferred
  • Healthcare finance and accounting knowledge required
  • Strong proficiency and understanding of Microsoft, especially Excel. Self-starter with the ability to identify issues, problem solve and think critically; Ability to work under time constraints and pressure.
  • Proficiency with Sage Intacct (accounting system) and Vena budgeting software preferred
