We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our engineering team in Chester CT, as a CAD technician. This position will provide technical solutions and support by preparing CAD drawings for Application Engineering.

This position is full time, on site in Chester, CT, Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5 p.m.

Responsibilities and goals:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD to review and create profile and application drawings
• Assure optimal product fit and functionality within customer's profile
• Utilize and maintain drawing database on regular basis
• Utilize and maintain assigned activities in CRM on a regular basis.
• Interface closely with Sales Engineering Manager
• Ensure accuracy of detailed drawings
• Understanding of North American products.
• Stay up-to-date with new drafting software and advancements.
• Support with adding hardware to windows and doors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

System knowledge and competencies:

• Autocad
• Microsoft Office
• M365
• Preferred experience in window and door industry but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills

Requirements:

• Preferred Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or AutoCAD Certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in AutoCAD.

Work Environment:

• This position operates in a professional office environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, printers.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

Full Time (40h/week). OT if business needs required.
