Summary:
The Lab Service Technician will be responsible for supporting Powin lab. Specifically supporting servicing, maintenance, repair work, and carrying out preventive maintenance services of laboratory equipment. This role is critical in supporting the organization's use of the Powin Battery Lab to ensure coordination of lab resources, schedules, and safe practices.
Job Details:

• Perform system installation, maintenance, repair work, and carry out preventive maintenance service as required
• Communicate changes, schedules, to those responsible for the actions required
• Follow tasks and instructions to determine component requirements, plan sequence of tasks, obtain required support, services of tasks and equipment
• Communicate changes for operation to associated team members
• Perform similar duties throughout the facility within the skill level where common skills crossover to provide shared responsibilities
• Self-driven, detail oriented, follow tasks through to completion
• Responsible for any electrical issues with lab equipment and test stations
• Regularly work near electrical lab/ test stations and equipment
• Work closely with engineers implementing and set up of tests, troubleshooting and miscellaneous tasks
• Rig, assemble, and set up various laboratory equipment. Ensure all equipment is properly configured and calibrated for testing procedures
• Wire and connect batteries, chargers, inverters and other electrical components according to instructions. Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical or environmental issues to maintain optimal functionality.
• Maintain equipment and assist in ordering of laboratory supplies
• Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed and maintain a clean and orderly environment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 2 years' experience in lab environment
• Experience with electrical wiring and basic circuitry
• 2 years' experience operating electrical test equipment DMM, Oscilloscope, power supplies and electronics loads
• Minimum 2 years related experience with ability to read blueprints, schematics, line diagrams
• Familiar with using electronic test systems and equipment, AC/ DC meters/ lab equipment
• Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changes in direction
• Ability to work cross functionally, and explain concepts to others with diverse backgrounds and varied levels of expertise
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing

• Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as those rated to CAT4

• Ability to move throughout jobsite which includes minor obstacles (incline, uneven terrain) and could include working from ladders, ladder stands, and occasional lift
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
