Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Independently manage technical and non-technical projects, navigating and guiding cross-functional teams
- Prepare and manage project plans, including work breakdown, resource planning, risk management, and monitoring schedules to achieve on-time deliverables
- Preparation and delivery of project proposals and scope and requirements documentation
- Develop and execute communication plans
- Assess and report status of projects in an objective manner, maintaining project transparency and status
- Proactively identifies, escalates (as needed), and resolves projects/program risks and issues
- Predict risk areas, design mitigation/contingency strategies and execute to avoid issues
- Incorporates change management to ensure a productive and healthy response by the organization to changes both inside and outside the project parameters
- Develops quality assurance test plans and directs quality assurance testing
- Conducts post implementation reviews to ensure desired outcomes are reached and carry forward lessons learned
- Work to build-out of the Project Management Office (PMO), best practices, and continuous improvement of the PMO to scale project management competencies with the company’s growth.
- Project Management and SDLC Methodologies (PMP, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall), with exposure to Systems Integration and/or Package System implementations
- Advanced understanding of systems development lifecycle approaches in Project Management for initiating, managing, and delivering IT products and solutions
- Comprehensive grasp of advanced concepts and fundamental principles in data communication, information systems hardware, software, and cloud services.
- A positive attitude, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
- Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate, both written and verbal, effectively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Team player and energized by a company that is growing and expanding, forward thinker, goal oriented
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business or related major – project management specialization or related-discipline and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
- PMP appreciated, but not required if commiserate experience is demonstrated
- 2-3 years of project management experience
