Technology Support Technician/Technician 1 Supervisor

Reports to: Lead Technician

Purpose: Rowan-Salisbury School System in Salisbury, NC seeks an organized and dedicated Technology Support Technician/Technician 1 Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, state of the art environment implementing and maintaining leading-edge systems and hardware. This support position is responsible for hardware/software maintenance, support, and installations of Mac, Windows & IOS devices. This position will lead, train, and advise district Technician 1’s.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from a two-year college, four-year, or technical school with coursework in electronics and Computers and (1-3 years) experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 1-3 years’ experience supervising tier 1 technicians preferred, but not required.
• The following certifications are desired but not mandatory: A , Net , Security , ACMT; iOS Certified, CCNA, MCSE
• Applicants may be asked to complete a skills test as part of the interview process. The skills test is used to assess each applicant’s proficiency with Hardware / Software.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Configures, repairs, maintains and upgrades technology-related equipment, including but not limited to Apple IOS and OSX devices, Windows, imaging and mobile device management software.
• Communicates with employees and management in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
• Provides support to users by phone and email using remote support tools.
• Excellent problem solving, multi-tasking, troubleshooting skills and attention to details are required to work within the department and school environment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Uses a web-based work-order tracking system for routine repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Assists in researching new technology and provide input on new standards.
• Attends classes and seminars to enhance knowledge of equipment and operating systems.

Term of Employment: 12 months in accordance with the Rowan-Salisbury School Board calendar
