Rowan Salisbury Schools is Hiring a TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TECHNICIAN III Near Salisbury, NC

Technology Support Technician III

Reports to: Executive Director of Technology

Purpose:

The Technology Support Technician III plays a crucial role in managing the Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems of the school district, including Moysle, JAMF, and PC end MDM solutions. This position ensures the seamless operation of these systems and provides support for device imaging. The Technician III is the primary point of contact for MDM-related issues and contributes to the overall ef?ciency and effectiveness of the district's technology initiatives. Duties require excellent customer service and strong communication skills.

Qualifcations

  • Associate degree in computer science or an IT-related ?eld from an accredited institution and one year of experience in the information technology ?eld related to the position’s role; or High school or GED diploma and three years of experience in the ?eld of technology related to the position's role; or an equivalent combination of education and
  • Technical certi?cations such as A certi?cation or Network
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, software, and related
  • Pro?ciency in managing MDM solutions (Moysle, JAMF, and PC end).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to balance diverse responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of network architectures, advanced MDM con?gurations, and data security protocols.
  • Expertise in managing Windows environments, particularly for specialized applications used in CTE and administrative departments.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across a variety of hardware and
  • Advanced knowledge of server management, ?rewall and VPN, web ?ltering, and SSL
  • Pro?ciency in MS365 management and group policy
  • Ability to handle user account management, password resets, and MFA
  • Knowledge of network repair and
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in IT support and security

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for managing MDM solutions (Moysle, JAMF, and PC end) within the district.
  • Provide advanced assessment, triage, documentation, and resolution of incidents and requests related to MDM.
  • Assist with the installation, repair, and upgrade of hardware, software, and related
  • Use a ticket tracking system to manage daily work orders and provide detailed documentation of repairs and actions taken.
  • Assist with the con?guration and installation of network equipment such as cabling, switches, access points, and other related peripherals under supervision.
