We are hiring for a 4-day required minimum part time coaching position. We prefer candidates that can work 4-5 days a week. Reliability and longevity are of the utmost importance. We are looking for candidates that can commit to a consistent schedule for 1 to 2 years.

Hours

Monday - Thursday 4:20PM-9:00PM. Additional hours are available on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons for special events such as birthday parties.

Job Description

Rowland Ballard Atascocita is looking for an experienced cheer coach who loves working with kids, starting at $20 - $23 per hour based on experience. We want our coaches to be focused on teaching, so there would be little administrative or cleaning duties unless desired.

Your Role

You will be coaching! Your job will revolve around helping kids develop work ethic, listening skills, confidence, and body control. You'll be:

• Leading students through warmup, stretching, and conditioning
• Spotting children as they learn how to do new skills
• Sharing in students’ excitement as they nail a trick for the first time
• Keeping parents up to date on their children's progress
• Learning new techniques, skills, spotting methods, and progressions all the time
• Helping students master their competition skills and routines

• Tumbling experience preferred

Your Experience

This job requires previous cheer coaching experience. There are a couple of other things we'd love to see:

• Exposure to gymnastics, tumbling, or dance (a plus)
• Choreography experience (a plus)
• Experience spotting beginner to advanced tumbling (a plus)
• Competition cheer experience (a plus)

Fine Print

A few requirements to note:

• Ability to see and hear clearly 20 yards away.
• Ability to provide sustained attention to students during class time in the gym.
• Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb onto a spotting block to assist athletes.
• Ability to spot an athlete, including the strength to lift and carry at minimum 50 pounds.
• Ability to move equipment including the strength to push or pull at minimum 50 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to maintain a consistent evening schedule. The kids need their coach to be in the gym!
