Position Title: Center for Smart Building Technology Workforce Associate

The RCC Center for Smart Building Technology (C4SBT) prepares a highly skilled workforce to implement sustainable, high-performance, and energy-efficient smart building practices. Our mission is to contribute to Boston's 2050 carbon-neutral goal with urgency and environmental equity. The Smart Building Technology Workforce Associate, reporting to the Assistant Director of the Center for Smart Building Technology (C4SBT), is responsible for supporting the overall operations of C4SBT. This versatile role involves assisting students, team members, visitors, other RCC offices, and external organizations as needed, ensuring consistent, efficient, high-quality, and customer-focused day-to-day office operations. The Workforce Associate will provide C4SBT students with various services, including program information, application guidance, course registration assistance, appointment scheduling, and referrals to other RCC departments. Under the direction of the Assistant Director, the Workforce Associate will also play a crucial role in grant administration, special projects, event planning, information gathering for research and marketing, data collection, and report development.

This position is grant-funded for two years, with the potential for extension.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure student success through direct assistance and referrals.
  • Collect and input student outcome data.
  • Maintain office efficiencies, including budget tracking and preparing documents for approval.
  • Open and close the C4SBT office suite.
  • Provide support to C4SBT colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials.
  • Manage web updates.
  • Collaborate with other RCC offices to complete tasks and projects.
  • Work on special projects as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in a professional office environment
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel; skilled in other Microsoft applications
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and updating budgets
  • Experience with data collection, entry, and analysis
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Comfortable in a dynamic work environment with a wide range of tasks and projects
  • Ability to be both team-oriented and work independently with little direction
  • Proactive, positive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Experience working in an urban education or nonprofit environment
  • Experience with grant-funded programs
  • Conflict Resolution skills
  • Bi-Lingual
  • Valid Driver's License

Compensation (Salary Range):
$60,000.00-$65,000.00 (Commensurate with experience and qualifications)
