Position Overview: RTH is seeking a dedicated Welcome Desk Coordinator to oversee our front desk operations and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with a passion for fostering a welcoming environment for all. Reporting to the Member Services Director, the Welcome Desk Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth administrative processes and maintaining a positive atmosphere for residents, program participants, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

Administrative:

  • Maintain adherence to RTH program standards and safety protocols.
  • Lead by example in delivering superior customer service and professionalism.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely response to inquiries via phone, email, and fax.
  • Manage Welcome Desk coverage in collaboration with the Member Services Director.
  • Monitor and replenish office supplies as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and provide support to team members as required.
  • Foster a positive and safe work environment for all staff and volunteers.

Program Support:

  • Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Welcome and assist guests visiting the community center.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Facilitate registration and enrollment processes using the Twin Oaks system.

Candidate Attributes:

  • Prioritize safety and promote a culture of respect and inclusion.
  • Embody and promote RTH's core values through actions and interactions.
  • Build rapport with residents, volunteers, and staff through empathetic communication.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for serving individuals of all ages and abilities.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules and occasional tour requests.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional demeanor with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in basic office software and equipment (scanners, copiers, printers).
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of RTH policies and operational procedures.
  • Willingness to occasionally provide tours of the RTH community center.
