Job Summary:

The Boardwalk Beach Hotel Loss Prevention Line Officer is responsible for the protection of company property and company assets.

Incumbent is expected to have excellent attendance and communication skills, possess the ability to build lasting business relationships, and exhibit professionalism.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a description of the major responsibilities of this position. These job duties are subject to change according to company or department requirements. You may be required to perform other duties, as requested by your manager.

• Monitor all hotel activities
• Perimeter foot patrol the property
• Identify and report safety hazards
• Diffuse guest/employee disturbances
• Assist other departments with tasks as necessary to accomplish the final goal
• Monitor traffic flow during high traffic times gate duty
• Respond to and perform initial incident investigation/interview
• Generate detailed incident report narratives as required

• Must be able to deal with various levels of personality traits and maintain self-control
• Must conduct oneself in a professional and efficient manner during interaction with people
• Must prepare written statements and investigations in a logical and grammar correct manner
• Must be able to work any shift including weekends, night and holidays; and/or work extended hours if required
• Must be self-motivated and willing to work with others
• Must possess a positive attitude
• Computer skills are essential to include basic knowledge of Excel, Word, etc.
• Ability to perform job tasks indoors as well as outdoors regardless of adverse weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 40lbs, walk, run, climb stairs, and stand for prolonged periods and able to work long hours under stressful conditions

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Must be at least 19 years of age

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
• Must be able work with a computer for a minimum of 7 hours daily either standing or sitting
• Must be able to read printed materials and computer screen with or without MS or other software accessibility functions
• Must be able to effectively communicate in e-mail, by phone, or in person during the course of the workday
