General Description

Royal Truck & Utility Trailer serves as an industry leader in truck and trailer repairs. Our team of Service Writers work as middlemen between the customer and company to provide the information our clients need.

The responsibilities associated with this position include:

• Monitor service progress, calculate charges, and process payments
• Serve as a link between different departments within the organization
• Gather parts needed for the technician to allow the most efficient repairs possible and follow-up to prevent delays or issues in the repair process.
• Review customer accounts and report changes to internal staff
• Record customer details and transactions
• Schedule technicians
• Collect customer information
• Log the process of a repair for billing purposes
• Process warranty claims and follow through with the repair process
• Manage complaints, returns, and resolve customer grievances
• Develop relationships with customers through successful management of the product or service delivery.

• Correctly interpret salesman/customer requests & tech recommendations
• Make accurate notes & calculations
• Ability to "Think on Your Feet"

Education and Training requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in sales, customer relations or related positions
• Understanding of mechanical functions
• Excellent customer service skills
• Problem-solving and listening skills
• Patient disposition and ability to resolve conflicts
• Knowledgeable in computer applications and industry-specific software
• Basic accounting skills and knowledge of electronic payment systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
