This team is passionate about design thinking and you will have the opportunity to create and shape the company’s experience. Embedding with product managers, engineers, marketers, designers and content strategists, you’ll be part of a central UX team that partners with you to shape the future of the company’s products.
Needed are a mix of UX and visual design experience and the ability to demonstrate strengths in both disciplines, so you will have the vision and execution to apply our design standards and help create new ones as needed. As a lead designer, we’ll be looking to you to help define the product experience while inspiring others to follow your vision.
Responsibilities:
· Take our .com product experiences to the next level
· Design pixel perfect experiences for the mobile web & desktop
· Influence decisions on how we weave brand, content, and customer experience into our products
· Design for savvy, fun loving audiences and help them create the memories of a lifetime
Qualifications::
· Brings design ability and a great portfolio
· Advocates for the customer relentlessly
· Feels comfortable working in a SCRUM/Agile environment
· Shows proven success delivering products to production that meet customer & business goals
· Applies and innovates on existing standards
· Values user research: a vehicle for the voice of our customers
· Owns the full end-to-end product product design cycle from conception to execution
· Knows how to get engineering behind their vision
· Keeps up to date with latest visual & interaction design trends
· Understands what makes a great mobile web experience. (Native app experience is a plus.)
Requirements - the basics:
· Successful product launches under your belt
· Experience creating wireframes, low & high fidelity mockups, prototypes & testing
· Contribute product ideas. Collect and synthesize product ideas from customers and cross-functional peers
· Lead and influence the look & feel of our products across platforms
· Ecommerce and/or travel & hospitality industry experience
· Team player within and outside of the UX team
· Minimum of 3-5 years of working in design teams
· BFA or MFA in web design or equivalent
