RP Professional Services is Hiring a Project Manager Near Washington, DC

RP is seeking a Project Manager to support a federal organization. The Project Manager shall ensure that all requirements in the contract are met. The contractor shall manage the project from the current best practices, notably those specified through the Project Management Institute.
This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities:
  • Have knowledge of the VA Benefit Programs (https://www.va.gov/) and Administrative Appeals Programs
  • Provide Quality Management Support, Quality Assurance Planning and Quality Process Implementation
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings which include scheduling conference rooms, preparing meeting invites, preparing agendas, drafting meeting minutes, briefing materials, executive summaries, and draft other materials for distribution of information to the Board. The contractor shall also provide the status of the Program Assessment and Q&A Sessions
  • Hold a Kick-Off Meeting once the contract is awarded. The purpose of the Kick-Off Meeting is to ensure that all stakeholders understand the requirements of the contract and to introduce key personnel
  • Provide a Project Management Plan describing the approach, organization of resources and management controls to meet the cost, schedule, and performance of requirements throughout the PWS. The contractor will update the Project Management Plan as needed throughout the performance period and provide updated drafts to the Board for review and approval
  • Develop delivery dates for all deliverables in consultation with the Board and include a delivery schedule for all tasks and deliverables in the Project Management Plan to be delivered within 30 days of contract award for Board approval
  • Provide a Weekly Status Report of all requirements being met and ensure that deliverables are completed/submitted in a timely manner
  • The contractor shall hold a monthly progress meeting with Board stakeholders to brief on the status of all deliverables and reassess the Project Management Plan to determine if any changes are needed to delivery dates
  • Provide the COR with Monthly Progress Reports The report shall include detailed instructions/explanations for each required data element, to ensure that data is accurate and consistent. These reports shall reflect data as of the last day of the preceding Month
  • Monitor performance against the previous month
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 years of experience
  • The ability to work for any US employer without requiring sponsorship
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs
