Commercial Electrical Estimator
Job Description:
As a Commercial Electrical Estimator at our 25 Million revenue electrical company, you will play a pivotal role in our project bidding process. Leveraging your five years of experience in estimating, particularly in commercial electrical projects, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and preparing competitive bids. Proficiency in Accubid software is essential for this role, as you will utilize it extensively for estimating purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Assessment: Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements thoroughly.
Cost Estimation: Utilize Accubid software and your expertise to accurately estimate project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids that align with project requirements and company profitability goals.
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and propose mitigation strategies.
Documentation: Maintain organized records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation.
Communication: Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and internal team members, to clarify project requirements and address inquiries.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in commercial electrical estimating.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in Accubid software for estimating purposes.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project requirements and estimate costs accurately.
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in project estimates and bids.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to work independently when necessary.
