Our client is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Family Office Staff Accountant to join their team. This role involves managing the accounting and reporting needs of high-net-worth individuals and their families. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, assisting with tax returns, and conducting financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly financial reports for high-net-worth individuals and their families.

- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice and payment processing.

- Maintain general ledgers and interest schedules.

- Coordinate with various internal departments.

- Reconcile bank accounts and investment portfolios monthly.

- Support the senior accountant and managing director on key projects in areas such as investments, estate planning, taxes, philanthropy, art, and physical asset management.

- Manage internal documentation and data retention procedures.

- Deliver excellent customer service to high-net-worth individuals and their families.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

- 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Knowledge of investing and tax preparation is a plus.
