The position: The Vice President of Asset Management is responsible for supporting RPM Investments in the management of assets and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight of a portfolio of assets, to include
- Financial reporting and analysis to monitor property performance
- Identification of property-level and market trends and formulate strategies to maximize the value of each asset in accordance with its business plan
- Quarterly property tours and performance reviews for portfolio assets
- Review marketing programs and pricing for portfolio assets
- Mentor and develop a team of Asset Managers, providing oversight which drives portfolio success
- Identify and implement best practices across the asset management platform
- Compile monthly and quarterly reports for equity partners
- Perform cash flow analysis and generate distribution recommendations
- Monitor the status of renovation and capital improvement projects and performs return on investment calculations
- Assist in preparing construction budgets and manages construction draws from debt and equity sources
- Compiles market research (e.g. market studies and competitive set profiles) and provides recommendations
- Loan compliance and administration
- Assists with acquisitions, recapitalizations and dispositions within the portfolio
Qualifications
- Finance, economics, or other quantitative field preferred
- Minimum five years’ experience; prior asset management or finance roles preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 3 years multifamily experience
- Prior experience leading a team
