Job Summary

The Manager on Duty will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our facility during scheduled shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in the absence of senior management. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Sets the tone and energy level for the store.
• Recognizes team members in the moment for their contributions.
• Provides in the moment coaching, both positive and corrective.
• Must be always on the floor. Back-office duties should be completed before or after their schedule shift.
• Upholds policies as they pertain to both racers and team members.
• Ensures that the Opening and Closing checklists are being completed. (Managers, counter, and Track)
• Helps team members when needed.
• Focuses on core standards, including front end, membership sales and conversion rates, race sales, merchandising.
• Maintains cash control.
• Oversees cleanliness and organization.
• Oversees inventory, food, beverage, T- shirts and retail.
• Facilitates kart testing and equalization events.
• Reviews customer complaints.
• Must maintain focus on the racers at every opportunity.
• Must be involved in the event host for all special events.
• Knows all sales goals and sales information.
• Creates action plans to get to the goal every day.
• Circulates the floor constantly to motivate evaluate and recognize team members as needed.
• Must encourage and exhibit team always selling.
• Should be constantly circulating the floor with the closing MOD to ensure that all actions and goals for the day are communicated.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing safety protocols preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the hospitality, entertainment, or retail industry.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
