Job Description

• This position is for a Press Operator 1
• 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm)
• 2nd shift is qualified for a $2.00/hr shift differential
• Inexperienced candidates pay starts at $22.00/hr. Experienced candidates will be eligible for a higher pay rate.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color Flexo press
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as mounting plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping inks, adjusting tension and register etc.
• Make necessary anilox adjustments and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required
• Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge Flexographic printing procedures, materials, equipment and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments
• Skill to read and understand job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully
• Must have sufficient knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate use of the press and corrective adjustments required to run efficiently
• Knowledge of the appropriate amount of packing pressure needed to obtain the proper printing pressure for the type of job being run
• Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
• Ability to make adjustments press
• Experience with Mark Andy, Comco, Aquaflex, Webtron, is preferred

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $22.22 to $36.05 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
