Inside Sales ManagerJob DescriptionResponsible for managing a team of inside sales professionals which include IKAMs (Inside Key Account Managers) and ISRs (Inside Sales Reps) to meet and exceed specified sales and profitability goals. Drives efficiency and effectiveness of the team, ensures adherence to behavioral standards and develops a professional sales force.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • Directly manage, recruit, hire, coach and mentor a team of inside sellers to meet or exceed sales goals and objectives
  • Develop a business plan with their inside sales team and provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts, reports and commentary to measure progress and adjust tactics and strategy as needed
  • Build relationships and work with the various RS America’s Sales personnel and functional groups to accomplish tasks and take care of the customer
  • Work with and build strong relationships with key supplier partner representatives including their sales, support and technical team members
  • Ensure team focuses on proactive sales activities including phone and virtual video-based sales calls utilizing value and solution based selling philosophies
  • Hold team accountable to utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other programs to plan and record sales activities, identify and log potential sales opportunities and provide key information as needed
  • Guide their team members, to complete training and development programs aimed at increasing product and sales process knowledge
  • As part of the training and development program, personally obtain expert knowledge level for products, services, sales processes and systems
  • Ability to use reports, data and information to accurately determine the sales activities that will drive the highest return on investment for their team
  • Create an environment that aligns with our company’s values and ensure all team members understand company strategy, vision and value proposition
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business code of ethics and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team

  • Experience in planning and implementing inside sales strategies
  • Experience in customer relationship management
  • Experience managing and directing an inside sales team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to providing great customer service
  • Ability to lead an inside sale team
Education And/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field with 3 to 5 years’ experience in inside sales team management. Knowledge of inside sales best practices, policies and procedures.
Computer SkillsBasic computer skills, experience with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite and video conferencing platforms.
