RS H is Hiring an Administrative Assistant II Near Fort Lauderdale, FL

The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking an Adminstrative Assistant to join our Transportion Practice in our Ft Lauderdale, FL office! 

Job Summary: The successful candidate will have the associated skills and prior professional experience for: preparing business documents; interfacing with RS&H support groups in legal, human resources, and business development; supporting activities of South Florida operations; performing transactional business activities; supporting monthly invoicing activities, assisting engineering staff, assisting Project Managers, and other office administrative assignments including filing, scheduling meetings, booking travel, and ordering and managing office supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience.
  • Must possess advanced knowledge of administrative duties.
  • Must be able to coordinate complex projects and events.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams; as well as Zoom and PDF reader and writer software.
  • Must possess exceptional oral and written communications skills, as well as attention to detail, and have strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with executives, clients, customers, contractors, associates, and other key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Experience with budget management and analysis.
  • Must work well both independently, and as part of a Team.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of business support experience in the engineering consulting industry with focus on Civil Engineering / Transportation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of business support experience serving public sector/government clients in Florida, such as FDOT or County government with associated duties in document control, invoicing, business reporting, contract management, and business development.
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Vision or other accounting software.
