MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST MT/MLS/MLT

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the Rumford Hospital Pathology team!

The Medical Technologist performs routine and complex procedures in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, serology, microbiology, urinalysis, and phlebotomy.

* obtains and receives specimens, performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understands method principles, performs quality control, performs preventative maintenance, and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.

* works independently, organizes work to meet established deadlines, records all data obtained, and maintains job competence.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Regulatory Requirements:

* Certification as a Medical Technologist MT/MLS/MLT/CLT by ASCP or equivalent, required within 6 months of hire.

* Excellent computer and inter-personal skills.
