- Create files with shipment/booking notifications and ensure they are updated accordingly.
- Prepare transportation sheets.
- Documentation auditing.
- Import, export and domestic freight tasks.
- Confirm Original Bill of Lading (OBL) and arrange payments as needed.
- Issue checks as required, for freight, terminal, accessorial charges, etc.
- Obtain information needed for dispatch and confirm pickup and delivery.
- Ensure debit notes are processed properly and send them to all international and domestic vendors.
- Prepare, update and send clients shipment information.
- Maintain client spreadsheets and send to client timely.
- Handle document turnover shipments as needed.
- Complete a variety of other duties as assigned.
- Invoice clients
- High School/GED
- Minimum 2 years in transportation
- International logistics experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Tactful and dependable
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to focus on computer screen and / or written materials for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Overtime and / or weekend work will be required
- Must work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely and efficient manner
- Must be able to professionally handle situations as they arise
