Lab Manager

We're designing and building medical devices - brain implants for disease therapy. Our engineering efforts are multi-disciplinary (EE, ME, Biomedical, Systems) and focused on miniaturization and integration in a variety of fields such as implantable encapsulation, wireless power transfer and communications, connector, and brain electrode lead design.

What you'll do

You would manage our R&D lab to enable these advances by ensuring that our lab is running effectively, well-stocked, efficient, clean, compliant, and a great place to work and collaborate in.

More specifically, you will:

  • Acquire, assemble, maintain, calibrate, and repair lab equipment and fixtures.

  • Proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks to lab productivity

  • Build and manage systems for inventory management, replenish and procurement of lab tools and supplies, including shipping and receiving.

  • Point-of-contact for equipment sharing, inventory, and maintenance

  • Promote good lab culture where everyone is required and empowered to be respectful by keeping things organized and well taken care of.

Our lab is in South San Francisco.

Who we're looking for

You:

  • Are curious, conscientious, and detail-oriented

  • Have managed a >10 person EE and/or ME lab

  • Go beyond your on-paper duties to chip in wherever helpful

  • Move quickly

Neurotechnology experience is not necessary.
