Contract: W2, 7.5-month contract (Jun 17, 2024 - Jan 31, 2025)

Location: 1 Bowerman Drive, Beaverton, OR 97005 (on-site Monday-Thursday, remote half-day on Friday)

Pay Range: $45-53/hour Based on YOE

Brief Summary:

The Color Designer role focuses on the appearance of products, communications, and collateral materials. Responsibilities include planning and executing color designs, collaborating with design and marketing teams, and creating innovative color solutions for specific product categories.

Responsibilities:

• Color Design Execution: Plan and execute color designs.
• Color Solutions: Create innovative, retailable color solutions for specific product categories.
• Consumer Research: Understand consumer needs and brand positioning as it relates to the product category. Apply insights from consumer research to color solutions.
• Presentations & Communication: Present and communicate category-specific color direction and merchandising strategies. Produce presentation materials that effectively communicate color direction to internal audiences.
• Skill Development: Develop excellence in color design. Advance the value of color by bringing expertise in materials, special effects, technology, advanced development, and presentation tools. Mentor junior designers in the color design organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of directly relevant work experience. Alternatives may include:
• PhD or Law degree 3 years
• Master's degree 4 years
• Associate's degree 6 years
• High School diploma 7 years
• Previous experience in footwear design is required.
• Must be able to work on-site Monday-Thursday.
• Will cover a leave for a full-time employee, starting 06/17 to ensure overlap.
