Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator - Engineering at Dalkia Energy Solutions in San Antonio, Texas plays a crucial role in the successful execution and completion of engineering projects. As an individual contributor, the Project Coordinator will work closely with internal and external teams and stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of projects while adhering to budget and quality standards.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive compensation package ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 per year. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other project team members to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Monitor project progress and identify any potential delays or issues, coordinating with team members to address and resolve them
- Communicate project updates and progress to stakeholders, including clients and management
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical specifications
- Conduct project site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with designs and specifications
- Assist with procurement of equipment and materials needed for projects
- Support engineers with design tasks, technical calculations, and drawing reviews
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure their work aligns with project timelines and specifications
- Review and approve project invoices and expenses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget
- Adhere to all safety standards and protocols on project sites
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in project coordination or project management in an engineering or construction environment
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of engineering principles and processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Understanding of budgeting and cost control
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is preferred
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
