Payroll Coordinator
Pride Health is hiring a Payroll Coordinator for one of its clients in North Carolina.
This is a 3-month contract with a possible extension with competitive pay and benefits.
Location – Greensboro, North Carolina– 27401
Pay range - $35 - $40 per hour.
Length of assignment – 3 months (With possible extension)
Shift – Mon- Fri (8 Am to 5 pm)
Job Duties
· Processing Payroll: Accurately compute and process payroll for employees regularly, ensuring timely and precise payments.
· Data Entry and Maintenance: Enter employee data, including hours worked, deductions, and bonuses into payroll software or system. Maintain accurate records of employee information and ensure data integrity.
· Payroll Compliance: Stay up to date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations. Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws and regulations, including tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and deductions.
· Benefits Administration: Assist in administering employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and flexible spending accounts, by accurately deducting and reconciling employee contributions.
· Resolve Payroll Issues: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries or discrepancies from employees, management, or external stakeholders promptly and professionally.
· Reporting and Analysis: Generate payroll reports and perform analysis as needed for management or accounting purposes. Provide accurate and timely payroll-related reports to management as requested.
· Payroll Audits: Assist in internal and external payroll audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations of payroll processes and transactions.
· Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll procedures and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
· Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of payroll-related activities.
· Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees and managers on payroll-related processes, systems, and policies.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree
· 7 years of experience in Payroll and Benefits
· In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, payroll, and benefit policies and procedures
· In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal wage and hour laws, principles and practices, and garnishments
· Ability to identify and mitigate operational risks through effective controls
· Excel skills
· Access skills
· Lawson - Infor
· COVID-19 and Flu vaccine is required.
