Title: Repair Estimator (Estimate Approver)

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $25.11/hour (based on experience)

Work Location: Hybrid in Tempe, AZ

40 hours/week

5 x 8-Hour Days

• On-site 3 days, 2 days remote
• Team operates Sun-Sat; days of week will be assigned during training

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Repair Estimator to join their Centralized Maintenance team. As a crucial member of their team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing repair events for tractors, trailers, and hostlers. This role involves reviewing and validating over 30 estimates per day from outside maintenance vendors

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and validate repair estimates to ensure compliance with wear and tear guidelines.
• Confirm that proposed solutions address identified defects and that pricing is reasonable.
• Request explanations and flag estimates for further review if repairs or charges appear unreasonable.
• Evaluate estimates and pictures for high-dollar repairs due to wear and tear or damage.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to clarify and resolve estimate discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records of all estimates reviewed and actions taken.
• This Role Is Not Customer Service: You will not be working with or taking calls from end-customers. Your primary focus will be on reviewing estimates from vendors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Tech-savvy with strong computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with diesel motors, tractors, and trailers.
• Advanced degree in a related field.

Work Schedule:

• Assigned 5 x 8-Hour days per week.
• Typical shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Flexibility to work holidays, including Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve.
• Expected ramp-up period: 2 weeks with full training provided.
