The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a top organization that has an opening for a remote Technical Writer.100% RemoteSchedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm CST
Pay Rate Range: $40 - $50/hour W2, based on experience
Duration: 1 year contract
DescriptionThe technical writer creates content for engineering, QA, UI design, customer support, and external developers:
- Task-oriented user documentation
- Systems architectures
- API documentation
- UX writing
- Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and peers on the documentation team.
- Quickly understand and document complex software and related tools.
- Demonstrate an ability to create well-written, structured, detailed specifications that incorporate feedback.
- Plan and manage documentation projects with shifting requirements and goals.
BS/BA degree required in English, Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Writing, or other related degree.
More than three years of technical writing experience documenting complex applications, or a degree in Technical Communication.
Experience with:
- Markdown and GitHub.
- macOS and standard macOS software.
- Editing the work of other writers.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
