Job Title: General Manager

Shift: 1st - 7:00am-5:00pm

Pay: $65,000-$80,000

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Who we are:

Our client is Cleveland's Premiere commercial/residential hardware supplier and tool rental center.

General Manager Role :

As a General Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the store and ensure smooth running of operations to maximize sales and minimize costs for each department. The ideal candidate will have experience as a retail store manager or GM and knowledge of diverse business subjects such as sales, marketing and purchasing. The ideal person will have a strong ability to grow social media and market presence to increase foot traffic to the store.

General Manager Responsibilities :

• Understanding of budget management aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency
• Manage social media platforms and increase foot traffic and search engine optimization
• Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts

• Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivating, training and mentorship
• Oversee hiring and staffing needs

• Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel and department heads
• Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store's reputation
• Plan and oversee in-store promotional events and create instore and online marketing events by determining market trends for improvements to the store
• Oversee purchasing needs for each department
• Oversee scheduling for shipping and resolve and shipping delays with customers
• Oversee employee scheduling

About You:

• 7-10 years retail experience in a Store Manager or General Manager role in retail
• Experience in industrial hardware or commercial building products/tools is preferred
• 3-5 years' experience with P&L ownership
• 3-5 years' experience overseeing AP/AR and payroll accountability
• 3-5 years' experience with purchasing and vendor management required
• Proven experience to maintain and increase social media presence
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and proactively
