The Marketing Specialist is an experienced marketing professional who supports execution of RVi’s internal and external business strategies, marketing communications, and positioning activities. Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, this position requires a detail-oriented individual with a background in marketing and/or communications, with proven production efficiency and strong graphic design skills. This role will manage the proposal development process regionally, and communicate effectively between the Sr. Marketing Manager, local Business Development Manager and local Managing Principal. Due to the collaborative nature of the work, this role will take occasional direction from their collaborative team, in order to respond to changing marketing priorities.

Day to Day

In this role, you’ll prepare high-impact proposals and communications that highlight our range of expertise, depth of experience, and organizational creativity. You’ll work closely with our team members to create competitive and compelling sales messages that convey RVi's strengths, and with key business development leaders to coordinate strategic client-facing events, materials, and other communications in alignment with the RVi brand. Additionally, this role will support the advancement of RVi’s marketing plan, and respective projects and initiatives, as directed.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership and business development team to assist in the research, qualifications, and project pursuit process related to new business opportunities
• Design and develop winning proposal content and materials by strategically highlighting RVi’s competitive advantages
• Lead and manage proposal/qualifications/presentation development with internal PM’s and business developers
• Ensure that targeted positioning and brand awareness messaging is consistent and communicated effectively to target audiences
• Monitor trends impacting our core industries, geographies, and clients, and support research initiatives as needed
• Proactively manage the organization and maintenance of marketing collateral including content, documents, images, and project data
• Support social media campaigns and webspace advancements, including content creation, editing, and posting as needed, and respective of our strategic marketing initiatives
• Support the development, implementation, and measurement of digital marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, website traffic, social media engagement, and media coverage, ultimately supporting lead generation
• Support the team through event planning, sponsorships, award submissions, and professional photography and videography coordination
• Assist with preparation of promotional materials, including monthly eNewsletters, and digital and printed marketing collateral
• Champion your professional development by maximizing your learning experiences and depth of industry knowledge/expertise, best practices, and trends
• Educate and inspire technical staff to build their personal brand (online and offline) and help position the RVi team as industry thought leaders in advance of strategic opportunities
• Participate and contribute to reoccurring regional and quarterly marketing meetings, as requested

Internal Communications & Company Culture

• Build and maintain positive internal relationships with our business and technical partners, business developers, corporate services, and marketing teammates
• Assists Human Resources committee with employee recognition efforts
• Help maintain and update company intranet
• Help facilitate company event planning as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience developing SOQs and responses to detailed RFPs
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong graphic design and layout skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop experience required), and other desktop publishing programs.
• Experience with web-based interfaces is preferred, but not required
• Detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a group
• Flexible working with multiple personality styles and management levels, both in-person and virtual
• Ability to effectively communicate with and take direction from senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients as needed
• Ability to successfully balance conflicting priorities and thrive in a deadline-driven environment

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Business, or related field
• 4 years of post-graduate professional experience, preferably within the A/E/C industry.
