RVR is a craft oriented, Japanese Izakaya, utilizing the gifts of California’s small farmers. Led by chef/founder Travis Lett, we're opening soon in Venice. We are looking for talented and experienced Cooks/Sous to support our culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. At RVR we’ll have new ingredients and seasonal dishes daily, alongside a focused A-typical wine program, so a passion for learning is essential.
This is an entry level Sous Chef role for a candidate who wants to work hard and learn from one of the best chefs in LA.
The Sous Chef will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and driving culinary innovation. We believe that a kindhearted team who stays sharp and engaged has maximum fun during service and will always strive to make RVR a dynamic place to work.
