Job OverviewThe Respiratory Care Practitioner provides therapeutic, supportive, and diagnostic respiratory services and care to all patients.
QualificationsRequired:
- Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program
- Current New Jersey Respiratory Care License
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Previous clinical & weaning protocol experience
- Reasonable knowledge of respiratory equipment function
- Patient assessment skills
- Night Shift
- Per Diem scheduling
- Assesses patients' pulmonary status
- Develops plan of care in collaboration with the physicians and nurses
- Delivers respiratory care to patients
- Evaluates treatment and orders/confirms appropriateness and initiates treatment of MDI, HFN, CPT, Aerosol treatment
- Participates in monitoring patient care outcomes as established by targets/goals or Performance Improvement within services
- Performs other duties as requested
