RWS Group is Hiring a HR Advisor Near Florida, NY

As an HR Advisor, and reporting to a People Services Country Lead, the People Services Advisor is an individual contributor role without direct reports. The role delivers people services for country or regional specific managers and colleagues with professionalism and empathy. Services are delivered in line with the agreed global delivery model, global processes and standards; and in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides support to queries raised by managers and colleagues within specified country/ies or region, escalating to Country lead as required for support; in accordance with the RWS values, offering ‘open door’ support and advice on work related issues with empathy and professionalism.
  • Consults and advises on employee relations issues, actively leading on discipline, grievances, performance, absence management and redundancies as required.
  • Assists with culture transformation including active promotion of One RWS by having a visible presence in the office (if appropriate) and regularly speaking to colleagues and managers.
  • Creates template letters, emails and other communications as required.
  • Provides local level information sessions on HR topics regarding HR strategy or local legislation.
  • As agreed with Country HR lead, maintains, or contributes to local policies and processes (as agreed within the global framework and governance).
  • Fosters strong partnerships with local payroll, finance, IT. PS&T Regional lead and HR Centres of Excellence.
  • Work with others to continually improve end-to-end HR services and operational services including driving adoption of self-service at country level.
  • Helps maintain data in HR systems and produces required documentation in support of delivery of HR processes.
  • Escalates issues and concerns to People Services Country Manager in a timely manner.
  • Carries out other tasks as required to support the Regional / Country People Services team.

Skills & Experience

    • Demonstrable experience of HR generalist work
    • Worked with high volume hiring
    • Proficient with Excel
    • Knowledge of HR strategies, processes, policies, best practices, and laws in a country capacity.
    • Emotionally intelligent: You are able to remain calm in stressful situations and communicate effectively, you support your client group with a sense of urgency and you’re known for your empathetic approach to tackling tough issues
    • Someone who keeps up to date with changes in Country Employment law and best practices.
    • Strong customer service skills - all colleagues and managers are our customers
    • Ability to execute & get things done: Strong Project Management skills; able to multitask, can tackle big projects with enthusiasm, have the ability to think critically and work through ambiguous situations
    • You’re highly detailed oriented, love an intuitive dashboard and have the excel skills to back it up
    • Friendly, approachable and empathetic with good listening skills and ability to be a trusted advisor to first line and middle managers
    • Team player able to build strong relationships across boundaries

Base Pay

$50,000 - $65,000 / year 

Actual rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
